Our 4th of July- 2015

How was your 4th? Our 4th of July came so fast, we went to the city park and walked around and got  funnel cakes and snow cones, after the parade had cleared out since it was a super hot. We walked around the park looking at the vendors, we saw the horses and listened to some bands that were playing. Then We left and came back later for the firework show.

#OOTD (girls out fit of the day)
I got the girls shirts from Wal-mart. They were so cute, and 4.97 (so cheap and so cute!)
We also picked up one of the bracelets that repel the mosquitoes, and for Audrey they worked! not bad for 97cents!

If you follow me on Instagram you saw My hair was in a reverse braid and I just pinned it back. I really don't do much with it but though it would be a simple look for an out-door day!

Hope you had a Great 4th of July!

Thanks for dropping by!

June Favorites

School is out it and summer is here!

Audrey has been loving having no school, playing with her cousins and going swimming and having her summer dance camp!

1. tap shoes! We order these tap shoes from the dance company she was with they seem to fit her great! We are hoping she wont grow out of them by the fall when she starts her officially dance year. She puts them on whenever she can and whips out some dance moves its pretty cute!

2. bun maker! we picked up this bun maker from Walmart for about $3.00, it came with some elastics and some bobby pins. I found a tutorial on Youtube!Click here for the link! that I love! Audrey has so much hair that it was perfect for dance, hot days!

3. Hair Cut! Audrey hair has gotten so long! I decided to give it a trim! well the trim turned to like 5 inches of her hair maybe even long! She has so much hair it was so hard to just give a trim! but it turned out to be okay for the summer. I was thinking before school starts to go back and get it professional done! here is how it turned out

4. The zoo that came to town!
We had a day that a small little zoo came and she pet the animals they had a lion show it was a lot of fun. The funniest thing was when she was feeding a camel, and she opened her hand and the camel went for it but than she started screaming so loud from it licking her hand. She couldn't stop laughing it was funny!

Well it turns out that's all the happened this month as her favorites! Next month I'll do the little one and Audrey again this was fun to do!

Thanks for reading :)

Ana Hair Tutorial

Audrey had  her first summer dance class! The theme of the dance class was princesses. So at the last class they dressed as princess !

She was Ana from Frozen.

What you need for this hair style

  • Alot of bobby pins
  • 3 tiny elastics
  • 1 large elastic

Brush the hair out to be sure there are no tangles!

Tie back a little bit for the fake bangs and just leave it alone we will come back later!

Next take a section of hair and do a reverse braid to make it stand out a little more, go behind the fake bangs and pin on top of the head and behind the ear on the other side

Should look something like this so far

Than take a portion of hair above the ear a tie in an elastic!  A basic half down half up

than take out the fake bangs and pin it back we will cover them up in a second!

next twist the bottom of the half down half up section and make a circle below the braid section and pin the down!

next take a small portion of hair wrap it around your hand

next pin it in the the circle, this is about the hardest part, I couldn't figure out since she has so much hair but you get the idea

Next take the rest of the hair that is left and sweep it over and rough parts and tie in a pony tail just before you finish leave its half way pulled through

Than tuck it all in! Right above the elastic! keep tucking in until it's all tucked in and pin it to stay up!

Lastly Pin everything! Just to make sure it doesn't move!

I added a ribbon with a bobby pin right in the back where the hair was tucked in and it stayed the whole dance recital !

and you have a Ana princess!!
